Love this translation of a Pet Store.  It's Bob's new nickname for me.

It's nice to get check out by men--even stranges in robes--at my age.

Just seeing what the queue is all about--I love that SHE is checking me out with this beautiful kohl-rimmed eyes. I'd look like a raccoon if I tried that.

I'd never bee to the middle east and found everything about it fascinating.  Including the fact they go ou to the desert in SUV's, let the air out of the tires and go nuts.  Our version of the Scooby and Shaggy dune buggie.

This is me saying we do NOT need one more rug.

This little guy stole my heart--he looks like Frito Bandidto with the bandolier of weapons (or its a crossing guards belt), but they had drawn a goatee on the poor child mannequin. I thought someone neeed to give him a little love.

I love the variety of gourds.... all these shapes and colors just like people!

A pumpkin that grew out of my yard from compost soil. I had used seeds from my kitchen compost and hurricane Irene killed the plant's leaves, but the pumpkin survived. At the roots you can see its green-- survival....

This is where Nan makes us do yoga moves and card games get started on rainy days. 

Our Old Town canoe has been around for decades.  The kids love to try to swamp it more than they take it out but the red color hasn't dimmed much in all that time. 

There are still baby birds in this nest and I couldn't bear to knock it down.  No one is allowed to turn it on! 

Here's a fun use for old pennants.  I bought this pillow but you could so easily make this if you are handy.  Great for a college kid with their school insignia too.

One of my dahlias in full bloom.  My summer garden is my bliss. 

Cutting and arranging these dinner plate dahlias is one of my favorite solo summer activities.
